The Eureka County Sheriff's Office is responsible for public safety in the 4,180 square miles of Eureka County. Not only do we respond to 911 calls and conduct criminal investigations, our other duties include operating the Eureka County Detention Center, providing security at the Eureka County Justice Court, District Court, Search and Rescue operations, and assist with emergency management. These services are provided by 22 dedicated employees and several committed volunteers.
The Eureka County Sheriff's Office routinely collaborates with and supports other law enforcement organizations, community groups, schools, and businesses in order to identify and provide public safety solutions for our residents and visitors. It is our privilege to serve, to protect the rights of our residents and to provide the highest level of professional service possible.
